Delegates’ Listening Tour Visits Eastern For Small Business Solutions

An interim legislative committee report due out in October, that state legislators will use to draw up possible corrective legislation next January, will include Potomac Highlands residents’ concerns and ideas about how to improve conditions for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The panel held a listening session at Eastern WV Community and Technical College to learn first-hand from small businesses and entrepreneurs “what their successes are, what their struggles are, and what we can do as an elective body,” to stimulate their growth and success, said Delegate Doug Skaff (Kanawha, 35). Skaff chairs the House Small Business Entrepreneurship and Economic Development committee that is conducting the delegates’ “Seeking Solutions/Celebrating Successes” statewide tour.
